SUMMARY:From bespoke to ‘off-the-shelf’ technologies: supporting the delivery of integrated care services
DESCRIPTION:Objective: This plenary session will showcase innovative solutions that are designed to address the key challenges associated with delivering integrated care services to promote the health and wellbeing of our ageing population. It will draw on the B3 Action Group members’ commitments to EIP on AHA to illustrate the wide range of ICT that is being deployed in regions across Europe. \nMain messages \n\nCitizens are increasingly choosing to use technologies and applications in their personal lives that can deliver personalised care and support.\nThere is growing evidence of ICT solutions supporting individuals holistically rather than addressing their single diseases or needs.\n\nBackground Information: The B3 Action Group on Integrated Care was established in 2012 to develop a response to the challenges set by the Strategic Implementation Plan of the European Innovation Partnership for Healthy and Active Ageing (EIP on AHA).\nwww.ec.europa.eu/eip/ageing/home_en

SUMMARY:Scaling Integrated Care in Europe – What does it take?
DESCRIPTION:More tools are needed that can help us to understand how to move towards more sustainable health and care systems\, and how to support implementation\, scalability and transferability of integrated care solutions in Europe. \nThe objective of this workshop is to explore the SCIROCCO tool’s potential to facilitate exchanges of good practice and the scaling-up of active and healthy ageing solutions in Europe. The workshop will demonstrate the development\, validation and testing of the tool. It will show how the tool will build on the results of its application to 15 good practices in integrated care in five European regions. It will provide a unique opportunity to gain a more detailed insight into the parameters of the SCIROCCO online tool \nMain messages \n\nThe SCIROCCO tool can help you to scale up your integrated care/active and healthy ageing solutions.\nLooking at example good practices can help you understand integrated care in your own region.\nScaling up of integrated care requires understanding of the context in which successful practice emerges.

SUMMARY:WoHIT 2016 Conference and Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:The new HIMSS Europe World of Health IT (WoHIT) Conference & Exhibition will be taking place on 21–22 November 2016 in Barcelona\, Spain. The event will gather top European healthcare stakeholders and will be the meeting point for the entire eHealth ecosystem.  \nThrough a number of educational sessions with the most experienced speakers to learn from\, together with a series of workshops\, hospital tours and an interactive exhibition floor\, this unique event addresses best practices\, practical solutions and cutting edge developments in eHealth. \nWoHIT 2016 encompasses five main summits: \n\nThe CIO Summit addresses the real challenges and issues that hospital C-Suite executives face on a daily basis. You’ll be able to share success stories\, exchange knowledge and experiences\, and also benefit from a dedicated Hospital Tour.\nThe mHealth Summit\, which combines a full educational track and a dedicated area on the exhibition floor\, intends to answer the burning questions around mHealth: who should be driving and paying for mHealth? How can we unite all patient data to accomplish personalised care?\nThe Cybersecurity Summit will be the first of its kind in a European setting. Cyber threats are becoming more apparent and can no longer be ignored: how are we going to tackle them in a healthcare context? The educational track and interactive exhibition space intend to address these questions amongst many others.\nOur first ever Genomics Summit will review recent developments in Genetic Health and will address key topics which are essential in the development of healthcare. The Summit will give you an opportunity to interact with colleagues\, hear from experts\, and participate in panel discussions.\nHIMSS Communities are expanding rapidly and have become an essential part of our programme. Delegations from The Netherlands\, France\, Ibero-America\, the Nordic region and Turkey will gather at WoHIT on an annual basis.\nThe Integrated Care track will showcase innovative solutions that are designed to address the key challenges associated with delivering integrated care services to promote the health and wellbeing of our ageing population. In addition\, these sessions will explore the challenges to bring forward the necessary changes needed to deliver Integrated Care and will discuss key questions surrounding the development of Integrated Care from a multi-stakeholder perspective.
